PI BETA PHI

AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA

Campus Involvement

SC Alpha loves to support Pi Beta Phi's National Philanthropy, and we also love to other non-profit efforts in our community!

Just this past spring, our Dance Marathon team raised over $25,000 for Children’s Miracle Network, while other members donated countless hours of their time to planning the event, fundraising, and visiting hospitals by being on Dance Marathon Staff and Team Captains.

We also were one of the top fundraising teams for USC’s Relay For Life, with over $6,000 raised for the American Cancer Society. We are proud of our members who put in work to the behind-the-scenes of the event, as well as selling pie during the event to raise money for the cause.

Along with participating in large-scale events, we love to support our other Greek organizations on campus with their philanthropic efforts by making teams and purchasing tickets to attend their individual philanthropy events. Some sisters are members of service fraternities at Carolina, such as Omega Phi Alpha. We also have members who volunteer Saturday mornings with the Leadership and Service Center at places such as Harvest Hope Food Bank. Our sisters love to take trips with Cocky’s Reading Express to read with children while representing our school, and also donate their time walking students home from the library as part of Walk Home Cocky.

We consider ourselves lucky to go to a University that encourages and provides so many ways to get involved with our community through service!
